ALISO VIEJO, CA -We all know student-athletes who can bring their game to other areas they live in.

We’ve started an initiative to recognize the heroes who make a difference to their local communities. We’re working to ensure that all your friends and neighbors know the personal motivations and stories behind this leaderboard.

This nomination originates via Catherine Kang, who nominated her daughter Christine from Aliso Viejo, who swims in competitive swimming. Christine was praised by her mom for having a caring and committed daughter. Christine was also praised for her extraordinary ability to befriend people who have few friends.

My daughter

What is the sport that the most popular student athlete play?

Swim Competition

What are your reasons for believing that the top player in the student-athletes should be honored?

Christine has always been a good person and such a great kid. She has two brothers who she takes care of. She is able to accomplish everything with smiles. She has also helped and bonded with a pupil from Ukraine who is unable to speak English and is learning Russian in order to help her connect with them. She swims three times per week. During the swim meet, she manages to be with her friends and even one of her brothers, who is younger. She always looks for positive things in every situation, but sometimes, people aren’t aware of the good in everything. She’s a very cool girl who is always there for the lonely.

What is the one that you’d like people to know about your favorite college athlete?

She’s a gorgeous girl, and we’re very happy for her.

Keep up the good job, Christine Kang!
