Calhoun County (AL) –Per Calhoun County Schools During the months of January and March, Dr. Reyes is holding a community meeting in each of the seven schools. In these meetings, Dr. Reyes is going to discuss trends in student population as well as its impact on funding and future facility planning. Parents of students in K-12 schools within each community are invited to attend. Here is the agenda:
- White Plains Community – Monday, January 23, at 5:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of White Plains (next the High School).
- Saks Community – Wednesday 25th January @ 5:30 PM at the Saks Middle School lunchroom
- Alexandria Community – Wednesday, February 1 st @ 5:30 p.m. at Alexandria Middle School
- Meetings for the remaining communities are scheduled later in February/March.
Dr. Reyes stated that information is the key to success at the County Commission meeting. He wanted parents and the community know exactly what was happening and what the future plans were for the school district.
