Anniston (AL) –Per Sargent Randy Grier from the Anniston Police Investigation Division responded to a shots fired call at the 5100 Block McClellan Boulevard on January 16, 2023, at 9:45 PM. Officers arrived at the scene to find B/M Carlos Miller, age 43, from Anniston with apparent gunshot wounds. Miller was taken by ambulance to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
Officers were called to the scene by Stringfellow Memorial Hospital about another victim of a gunshot. The victim was identified as BM Charrell, 21, from Anniston. He arrived in a personal vehicle. Brown died from his injuries.
Anniston Police officers and investigators investigated the scene and found that the two victims of gunshot wounds were connected to the same incident. The investigation continues. At this point, no further information will be made public.
