Birmingham AL – Weaver places three wrestlers in championship matches at State Girls Wrestling Championships
After the first day, three Weaver wrestlers have advanced to the finals. The Lady Bearcats are now third in the 2023 AHSAA Girls wrestling Tournament. Ali Anderson (114), Mariah Johannson (122) and Lena Johannson (138) are three Weaver wrestlers who are vying to win a title at Bill Harris Arena today.
Lena Johannson, one of nine undefeated wrestling champions, is looking for a crown. Sparkman (179) has a nine point lead over Daphne. Weaver is third (122.5), with Thompson and Central-Phenix City right behind the Lady Bearcats (122).
For the girls, 114 Ali Anderson (21-5) takes on Katherine Grigsby (31-31) of Hewitt Trussville; 120 Mariah Johnannson (26-3); and Lena Johannson (25-0).
