Calhoun County (AL) – Every week, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office releases their “Most Wanted List”. A “FTA” is a failure to appear at a court date. It does not necessarily indicate that the person is guilty of a crime. A “Probation Violation”, on the other hand, means that a person was found guilty and placed on probation. “SORNA” stands for Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone not to take any action on their own, but to contact the Sheriff’s Office and local Police Department to have them investigate further. Sometimes, a warrant can be recalled and the person may not be wanted anymore.
