Two Fort Wainwright soldiers are undergoing medical treatment for injuries they suffered the day before when the Army attacking helicopter crashed near Talkeetna airport. Talkeetna airfield during a practice flight.

The soldiers, who belong to 25th Attack Battalion, 25th Attack Battalion, were transferred from the scene to hospitals for treatment as per an announcement issued on Monday by the army’s 11th Airborne Division. One soldier was taken to a hospital, while another was transported by ambulance.

A division spokesperson claims that they were able to use the AH 64 Apache helicopter was among four that took part in the exercise.

The spokesperson for the incident said that it will be examined by an investigation team of the Army Combat Readiness Center at Fort Rucker, Ala.
