Anniston, AL –According to the Anniston Police there is an investigation underway into a shooting that took place on March 4, in Anniston Walmart. Anniston Walmart. The shooting is believed to be not a random shooting. The Walmart is secured. There is no danger at present or threat to the building. Walmart is open for normal shoppers. When more information is released, this report will be revised.
Updated APD statement: A male Walmart employee (who is minor) was confronted by two males whom they knew. The altercation was not connected to Walmart. The victim was assaulted physically. A firearm was manufactured by one suspect but it did not fire or utilized in the attack. The suspects fled the scene before APD arrived. The area was cleared by police. Parents of the victim’s victims were informed and will be taken to the appropriate court for the next steps.
