WBRC Agreement –
Unanimously approved
- Wes Wyatt with WBRC spoke about using the 911 cameras designed for viewing within the county. He thought this could be the perfect tool to share the view during bad weather. It would not cover cameras that are used to guard.
- The attorney for the Board, Adam Maniscalco, will make a few changes in the contract, subject to approval. The most important is that there isn’t any exclusivity for WBRC and that the county always is able to relocate cameras and to take control of any other shared party. There are currently three cameras, and two more to be added in the near future.

DHS Grant Application / Emergency Power (UPS) –
Unanimously approved
- The purpose of this letter is for approve a grant of $143,000 to upgrade the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) located at the 911 Center. The grant is highly competitive, and there is no assurance, however this grant was approved by the Calhoun COunty Commission felt there ought to be a chance of grants prior to consideration to pay for the upgrade of the budget for the commission.

WBRC Agreement –

ESN Assignment Hearing
- Pat Brown, director for Piedmont Rescue and Johnny Warren president of Anniston EMS both spoke in favor of the drawing of lines and the reassignment to EMS Emergency Services Network (ESN)

Piedmont Rescue and Anniston EMS Request to change EMS ESNs –
Unanimously approved
- Piedmont Rescue and Anniston EMS asked to have their lines drawn to better serve areas within the county. One of the major modifications is Anniston will not be able to cover areas in the Weaver area. The area will be covered with Piedmont EMS and Anniston will serve as a backup. The areas were also transferred to Piedmont because they are close and makes more logistical sense.

Board Chairman Comments
- The month ahead will be a the week for telecommuters. Chirman Sparks has ask agencies to coordinate food for those who dispatch 911. He also suggested a session of training for them, with food that would be provided.

Director Comments
- Kevin Jenkins shared that he was pleased to be acknowledged as one of the dispatchers by Chief Ohatchee Police. She dealt with a difficult call made by a young child.
