Florala received Pleasant Home for a 1A Area 2 home softball matchup and won 17-2 over three innings on 20 March.

The Lady Eagles loaded the bases at the middle of the first with the walks of Abigael Henley Abigail Barton, and Jaiden Paul. Henley scored the first run after an error, giving the Lady Eagles an early lead of 1-0. Isabella Brooks struck out the next two batters, and left two runners who were in scoring position. It was the Lady Wildcats responded with 11 runs in the bottom half of the frame. Meagan Odom opened the scoring by hitting a single, then moved to second after a hit ball, before Annabelle Bookout walked. Odom hit the plate following an error, and put the score at 1-1. Three balls hit made the score 4-1 after Abigail Barton delivered a single to give the team a 5-1 advantage. Caydence Thomas as well as Jayla Davis both scored RBIs by allowing bases-loaded walks. four balls were passed to bring eleven-1 following an innings.

Brooks hit two PHS batters, and played an impressive 1-2-3 run. Alyssa Anderson as well as Katee Prescott were able to walk in the first half when they each moved into scoring position after the passing of a ball. After the pop-up, Bookout reached on a dropped third strike, and put the bases in play. Davis struck to force play, and an out-of-the-park rally extended to extend the FHS advantage to 14-1. Payton Murray scored Prescott and Bookout with a two-run homer in the center of the field and Abbi Boldin drove Davis on the field after the back of an RBI single.

Murray was the first to take his place in the circle, and started the third inning by striking out. Barton was next to hit a single to the middle before scoring an RBI triple by Paul. Murray finished the game in a two-strikeout. Anderson started the bottom of the frame with a walk , scoring by scoring the RBI double by Odom. Prescott scored with a fumbled ball to take a lead of 16-2. Davis scored Odom by hitting an RBI single. Davis ended the game with a mercy rule.

Boldin Boldin Florala on the mound, going 2-for-2 performance, and scored a single by scoring an RBI. Murray was 1-for-1 and scored 2 runs as well as two RBIs and Odom was 2-for-3 and had the RBI as well as scoring three runs. Brooks was awarded the victory and only allowed one earned run over two innings as he struck out five. Barton and Paul scored one-for-one in the defeat to Pleasant Home.

The Lady Eagles face Houston County on Thursday, March 23rd starting around 4:30 p.m. They will play at 4:30 p.m. Lady Wildcats take the field on Tuesday, April 4 in a doubleheader between JV and varsity at Kinston beginning around 4 p.m.
