State wins record downtown Las Vegas gaming win, October raises to $1B+: The state gaming industry surpassed $1 billion for the 20th consecutive month, and Clark County also exceeded that amount despite the fact that Strip revenue was flat in October.

The record win at Downtown Las Vegas casinos was $90.5 million. This beats the March record of $86.4 million.

The state’s 437 licensed non-restricted operators won $1.3 billion from gambling, an increase of 4.8 percent from October 2021.

Clark County’s 215 locations were awarded $1.1 billion, an increase of 4.5 percent over last year. Meanwhile, the Strip’s licensees received $705.8million, a decrease of 0.5 percent over the previous year.

Only one of the 19 submarkets that the Control Board monitors, North Lake Tahoe, showed an October 2021 decline.

The state considers gaming win important because it collects a portion of the gaming taxes. The October percentage fee collection totaled $76.4 Million, an increase of 6.4 percent over last year. The state has collected $406.1million for the general fund in the four months since July 2022, a decrease of 0.6 percent from last year.
