Cowboy Christmas inspires rodeo fans not to stop coming back: You never know what you might see during NFR season. Rattlesnakes, maybe.

Ariat, a footwear and apparel company, showcased 26 buckles that were to be worn by rodeo winners last year. The precious prizes were also accompanied by some odd friends.

“They had rattlesnakes above them, to keep the fun going,” Bo Gardner, vice-president of corporate marketing at Las Vegas Events, said.

This provides extra security for precious prizes made of solid gold and silver, each valued at more than $20,000

However, buckles and snakes are not what entice a quarter of a million people to travel to the annual gift show. It will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. December 1-10. These rodeo riders are considered rock stars. And where there are rock stars, there is merch. In this case, it was more than 350 vendors. The entertainment and admission are free, but the temptations aren’t.

Cheryl Kocvara (show manager) stated that “you see these incredible leather fringed purses, and you want all of them,” clearly an accident of her own design.

Gardner stated that the show’s main focus is very simple.

He said, “We like to keep with the Western lifestyle theme.” That suits Las Vegan Brenda West perfectly. Dennis West, her husband, was a bulldogger, team roper and rodeo rider. The family also has horses.

Brenda West stated, “I’ve probably been twenty times.” We like the culture. It is necessary to lead a cowboy lifestyle.

Cowboy Christmas makes it possible. Gardner stated that some of the most popular products include leather goods, jewelry, cowboy boots and hats, custom furniture and sculptures, as well as boutique and hand-crafted items. He also mentioned Cowboy Christmas decorations and cowhide rug. Wrangler and Ariat are two of the most prominent exhibitors, as well as many small businesses that have been involved with the show for years.

Rick Bishop, a Texas Cowboy Christmas merchant and Western Tradition member, would be one of them. Bishop stated that he used to attend nine shows across the United States each year, but has reduced that number to four over time as he gets older.

He said about Cowboy Christmas, “It’s nice show.” It’s done with great taste. Many people from the United States attend — friends and customers who wouldn’t be found anywhere else.

Bishop stated that he has many customers who come to him at the show every year.

West stated that they always stop at the National Roping Supply booth.

She said that Dennis would be able to buy his ropes if he came with us. They also have a wider selection of boots. It’s great to see all the vendors.

Gardner stated that about 12 exhibitors have been associated with the show since 1985. Some of these exhibitors were also transformed over time.

He said that he heard great stories about the small 10-by-10 booths against the back wall. Now they are 600 square feet. They were small at first, but now they are large enough to bring in more product.

Gardner stated that showgoers may order custom furniture or jewelry in some cases and have it delivered later.

He said, “It can take six to nine month to make a custom cowboy hat. They spend thousands of dollars.”

They spend. Gardner stated that the 250,000 visitors to 2019 generated 16 million in estimated total sales. However, the 240,000 attendees last year earned more than 30,000,000 estimated sales.

Gardner stated that the Cowboy Christmas draw also includes free entertainment and the chance for rodeo cowboys to get into touch with cowgirls and cowboys.

He said, “The Junior World Finals is upstairs and has over 800 participants, from 30+ states.” Five free shows will be offered daily on the “Rodeo Live” stage.

This year, the Cowboy Christmas Village will feature a live Santa Claus, a “kissmas” archway, mistletoe photo-op, and a candy wall.

He said, “It will look like a village – a little Hallmark wonderland.”

There will also be autograph sessions with steer wrestling stars and possibly a celebrity (last year, the “Yellowstone”) cast members were a huge draw). Miss Rodeo America will also lead the Justin Boots parade.

West is likely to make a run for the National Roping Supply booth.

She said, “Last year, they had the Apple Watch bracelets made of leather and turquoise.” “And I’m sorry because I didn’t own an Apple Watch until after this show.”
