Calhoun County, AL – Every week each week, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office released their latest “Most wanted” list. A “FTA” indicates that a person has failed to show up for a court appearance but does not necessarily mean that they are guilty of a criminal conviction. A “Probation violation” is when a person is accused of a crime and ordered to be placed under probation justices. “SORNA” is the acronym for Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone not to make any decisions by themselves, but call with the Sheriff’s Office or local Police Department to inquire further. Sometimes, warrants may be removed and the individual is not wanted anymore.
