Alexandria, AL – No Excuse for Child Abuse A candlelight celebration will take place on April 26th, at 7:00 at 7:00 pm. This event will take place within Alexandria Community Center. Alexandria Community Center and hosted by CASA of the Cheaha Region and Evelyn Moon Children’s Services. Come out to this open-air event in which Calhoun County Commissioner Terry Howell announces an official Proclamation to recognize the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Calhoun County. Following the Proclamation candlelights will light in sync, as we pay tribute to the children in our community affected by child abuse and work closer to finding a way to END it.
As a team, CASA of the Cheaha Region, Evelyn Moon Children’s Services as well as The Calhoun Cleburne Children’s Center brings this candlelight vigil for the community that is sponsored by Presiding Family Court Judge Peggy Lacher, District Court Judge Tom Wright, District Court Judge Randy Moeller, Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Weems, and Circuit Court Judge Tim Burgess.
