Jacksonville State Univ. Computer Science Professor Names Fulbright Scholar

Jacksonville, AL –The JSU media department announced the news that the Dr. David Thornton, professor of computer science, was named the Fulbright US Scholar for 2023-2024. The most highly regarded academic awards as well as it is the Fulbright Scholars program is the US government’s top international exchange program for education. Thorton will be traveling to Graz, Austria, in the fall of this year to be an academic visitor of Graz University of Technology. He will be teaching two graduate courses on the field of game design and VR, and work in collaboration with Game Lab Graz. Commissioner Patterson Commissioner Howell as well as Jacksonville City Councilwoman Sherry Laster.
