Golfers in the area have two exciting tournaments coming up in May.
Cane Creek 2 Man
It’s the Cane Creek 2 Man Senior Scramble will take place on May 1. Register at 8:15 a.m. and the shotgun starting from 9.30 a.m. To register for the event, contact 256-820-9174. Chip Howell at 256-453-8869.
RTJ Championship
The RTJ Trail Championship is May 6 and 7 in Silver Lakes. The 36-hole event, which is stroke-play-based will be played in two 18-hole rounds at both the Backbreaker and Heartbreaker golf courses.
The championship flight is determined according to Saturday’s scores (Round 1.). The 20th and 20th lowest scores will decide those Championship flights. Participants who remain will be put into three flight (based the number of participants).
The two rounds will be played on an orange/white tee. Women’s Division is played using a gold/teal combination.
Tee times begin around 8 a.m. on both days. The cost of entry is $195 that comprises green fees, cart fee range balls lunch, prizes, and an official FootJoy Golf shirt.
