- The Commission presented Tobi Burt’s report along with Highland Health found this to be in contradiction with The Board’s Policy on Conflict of Interests Policy. The Commission is now appointing Ms. Shelley Burt to fill the vacancy that was left unfilled for the term that expires in January 2025.

Public Comments
- Jakob Williamson from the Chamber of Commerce announced that there will be an event called a The State of Law Enforcement where ALEA will present the events that have occurred within law enforcement in the last year. This event will take place in Anniston Regional Training Center (Fire Station). Anniston Regional Training Center (Fire Station) on May 9th, at 9:00 a.m.
- Audrey Maxwell, Chamber Tourism Director, reminded everyone of the Annual Small Business Awards that will be held at the Oxford Civic Center on June 8th, at 5:15 p.m. The registration process is possible through the Chamber of Commerce website. Maxwell also announced that the month of May will attract tourists to the area through a variety of events taking place in the Basketball Tournaments held at Choccolocco Park and at JSU, Noble Street Festival with the Sunny King bike race, and the Cheaha Challenge.
- Dr. David West, Extension Manager, spoke about the recent awards for 4-H with more than 100 people attending. He said that the project on the Piney Wood Chapel would begin in the near future and they would require volunteers for this project. He thanked everyone who contributed to in making this Earth Day event a success. The event had more than 700 students participate in these events.
