GADSDENGADSDENGADSDEN- Brookelyn Goss shot a 98 to finish third as an individual and led Piedmont’s to a first-place finish for the team in the Class 1A-3A Section 3 girls golf tournament in Twin Bridges.
Piedmont was able to finish with a total of 323, which is four strokes higher than second-placed Weaver.
Piedmont’s Mayce Chandler scored an 109, while Reece Kirkpatrick shot a 116.
Alexis Cleveland led Weaver at the 102 mark and was followed by Tessa Taubenheim at 110 and Demari Grant, who was 115.
Soccer
White Plains BOYS 2. CHEROKEE County 0Gleymar Perez scored two times, as did White Plains advanced in the Class 4A playoffs. The Wildcats advance to play Westbrook Christian on the field at Choccolocco Park at a date and time to be determined.
