Piedmont, AL – Gone Fishing at The Park will be held on May 13th, 2017 from 8:00 am until 11 am in the Veterans Memorial Park. The City would like you to not start earlier to ensure that all participants get the chance to catch a fish. Cody Carroll has offered to take any fish he can catch and put them in his own lake, which is located behind Carroll Body Shop, this idea is fantastic because it will allow the fish to remain alive. Bring your own rods for fishing and bait. There is plenty of space around the entire pond to catch fish. We will see you on the 13th of April at 8am. All are invited to fish, but especially the youngsters. We are looking forward to a great morning. This is a single day only opportunity to reduce the carp population within the pond. All fish taken are to be brought home.
