Oxford, AL –The City of Oxford Spokeswoman, Lorie Denton, shared that the City of Oxford and Shivaay Oxford, LLC will hold an event to mark the groundbreaking of Candlewood Suites Oxford, an IHG Hotel on the 24th of May 2023 at 12:01 pm in 1381 Boiling Springs Road in Oxford, Alabama 36203 (Located just across the street from Choccolocco Park)
Shivaay Oxford currently owns and manages three Alabama hotels: Oxford, Madison, and Pell City and has an additional hotel to be built. The expected Candlewood Suites cost about $11 million, and will result in the creation of 15 employment opportunities in Oxford, AL. Candlewood Suites are a suite-only extended-stay hotel.
