Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston as well as their Parks & Recreation Department is planning to launch the Anniston the first Semi-Professional Basketball Club. This team will be comprised of members and trainers members of the Anniston community. The team will play in the PeachBasket Club System.

When they begin this venture they are in search of a HeadCoach. Players and coaches are under the guidance by the Club Manager, La’Ray Williams. The first year the coaching staff and players will be on a voluntary basis but once revenues begin to be generated by playing leagues, subsequent years will be able to include players and coaches hired and paid by an organization called the PeachBasket Club System. The team will comprise of 15 players. Anniston will host an event for players on the 10th of June 2023 at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Anniston Aquatics & Fitness Center. The league will play between July 2023 and September 2023. Anniston’s team will compete against the league’s current, Georgia based clubs. There are plans in place to grow to the League within Alabama in the coming years. The season will comprise 16 games 8 home games as well as eight games played away. In the Final Four playoffs will take place in Anniston between October 13 and 2023 through 15 October 2023.
As of now the city’s plans are to host a combine of players on June 10, on the Anniston Aquatic & Fitness Center Gymnasium (130 Summerall Gate Rd, Anniston, AL 36205) from 11AM until 2PM. The season will begin at the end of July in 2023.
