Red Level School will be celebrating the graduation of 2023’s senior class the 25th of May on Thursday and will be supervised by Kayley Peebles, who is the valedictorian, and Elizabeth Cross as the salutatorian.


Peebles was the child and the eldest child of Cynthia Phillip and Cynthia Phillip Peebles. Peebles has a sister named Ashley Peebles.


Cross is the daughter of Jamie Cross and Patricia Cross. Cross has one brother named Jacob Cross.


“Becoming valedictorian has been a goal since I was a ten-year-old old. So, being the representative of my class in all those years of work is a dream come true. I am truly happy,” Peebles said.


“It truly is an honour to be a part of my class as a salutatorian.” Cross added.


While they may pursue different areas of study, they have the same passion to assist children.


“I will go to Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in the fall. I will after that, I will move into Auburn University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. After that, I’ll go to medical school and be a dermatologist for children. I’ve always known I wanted to work in the field of health however my passion for helping others, particularly children, has led me to my choice to pursue the field of pediatric dermatology,” Peebles stated.


“I will go to William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and major in coaching and education. I’ve always wanted to become a coach in order to help the sport I am passionate about. Being a student means that I am able to do this,” Cross said.


They will cherish the memories they created in high school and utilize them as a way to get in their journey to the future.


“My most memorable memories was when I observed students having fun at school as equally like I enjoyed mine. From talking with my friends to playing sports, and completing the physics test There were numerous moments where I was able to share a family affection of Red Level School with my classmates,” Peebles stated.


“I truly loved all my memories and friendships that I’ve formed with my peers and classmates,” Cross said.


The pair will be sad to regret being RLS students, but is looking at their future plans.


“More than any other thing else, I’ll be sad to miss the next season of volleyball alongside my friends,” Peebles stated.


“I will be sad to lose the teachers who have made an the difference in my life, as well as the children whom I went to school with over the last 13 years,”” Cross said.


Both students have their sights set for the coming days and are prepared to face the world of work.


“I’m eager to find out my true self as an individual: my beliefs, interests, values, limitations and so on. Money is also a great thing,” Peebles said. “In 5-10 years, I’ll be able to graduate from Biomedical Sciences and gotten admitted to medical school. We hope to never be a single person, but at the very minimum I’d like having a dog. I’ve never appreciated this quote before I’m not sure if it’s true, but “Once a Tiger Always an Tiger!’ I am grateful to your Dad and Mom. Your little girl’s dream came true.”


“I am excited about the exciting experiences that the real world offers me. I envision myself as a teacher at mathematics in high schools and directing a softball team in the next five or decade,” Cross added.
