Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame 23rd of July

Calhoun County, AL Calhoun County, AlabamaWellborn’s Battles and Evans, Oxford’s Jack and Wilson, Anniston’s McCord and White Plains’ Garmon among the Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame selections

Oxford along with Wellborn High schools are set to get two spots in their Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame class 2023 The committee announced the announcement today.

The class, which will be inducted on the 17th of June in the Oxford Civic Center, brings the total number of members in the Hall to 112 which includes:

Mike Battles was a former Wellborn High football coach.

Jane Evans Former Wellborn High softball, track and volleyball coach.

Chris Garmon –Chris Garmon, former White Plains High athlete, Jacksonville State baseball player and high school football coach.

Jason Jack –Jason Jack, former Oxford as well as Alabama quarterback.

–Terry McCord. Former Anniston High and Troy University basketball player.

Barney Wilson Barney Wilson, former Oxford football and baseball player, and JSU athlete in baseball.
