PowerSouth Energy Cooperative announced Tuesday 30 May it was announced that Horace Horn has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President for External Affairs. Taylor Williams has been promoted to Vice President of External Affairs starting June 1, 2023.
Horn has been PowerSouth’s Vice President for External Affairs since the beginning of January in 2000 and has steered PowerSouth’s growth on Economic Development and Legislative Affairs. Williams was hired by PowerSouth since 2009, having been working in the Economic Development, Legislative Affairs and Power Operations areas.
“Horace is among the most likable people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around,” said Gary Smith PowerSouth’s CEO and President. “He has led PowerSouth through the development and expansion of the External Affairs Division and, along with Taylor will continue to guide PowerSouth’s efforts to improve Economic Development and External Affairs. Taylor has been an excellent contribution to PowerSouth in the last 14 years and will be the upcoming head of our highly effective external affairs team. This appointment is proof of his accomplishments .”
