Carl Mack Jeffcoat passed away on February. 20, 2023 on the 20th of February in Dallas, Texas.

The year 1935 saw the birth of Carl Jeffcoat at Searight, Alabama, to Alba Jeffcoat and Imogene (Weant) Jeffcoat, Carl grew up in Andalusia where he met his wife who was 63, Ann (Wishum) Jeffcoat.
His graduation from Andalusia High School in the year 1954. He was a part of the Honor Society, high school band, and the Vice Class President for juniors. After graduation, he relocated into Washington, D.C., in the FBI. In 1957, he began his studies at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) where he earned an engineering degree with a major in Electrical Engineering in 1960 after co-oping. He also worked working at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone Arsenal located in Huntsville, Alabama. He was an active member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
Carl and Ann got married in their home town in Andalusia on Andalusia’s First Methodist Church in December 1959. Following graduation of Auburn, Carl joined AT&T and enjoyed 30 years of employment. Being employed in the International Division of AT&T enabled Carl and Ann to travel to more than forty countries. They enjoyed many months living in Pensacola Beach, Florida, with their families. During one of these trips around 1972, the couple purchased an area to construct a retirement home. They lived at Gulf Breeze, Florida, following Carl left in the year 1998 after Comsat after ten years in Washington, D.C. and resided there until moving into Dallas, Texas, in 2022 in order to be near their daughter.
Carl was passed away by his parents and sister Edwin “Ed” Jeffcoat, and son Benjamin “Ben” Jeffcoat. In the wake of Ben’s death in 2011 the couple Ann set up a scholarship for engineers who are promising in Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn School of Engineering at Auburn University.
The couple is now survived by their wife of more than 63 years Ann Jeffcoat of Dallas, Texas; daughter Holly Jeffcoat from Dallas, Texas; and daughter Melanie Jeffcoat of Buford, Georgia. A memorial service is scheduled for the 28th of June 2023 in Andalusia.
