Cherokee County, AL — According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) an accident involving two vehicles within Cherokee County on Friday took the life of an Piedmont woman. Brenda Ferguson, 68, was injured when the Lexus RX she was driving in was struck by a tractor-trailer approximately 4:55 p.m on Friday afternoon. Ferguson was declared dead on the spot. The accident occurred on US 411 close to the 255 mile mark, about 10 miles to the south of Alexius. There is no other information available at the moment in the meantime as ALEA continues to study the incident.
