    • Spruce Root, Sealaska Heritage Institute, Sealaska and Oweesta Corporation are co-sponsors of the Alaska Native artist and makers market that will run from 11 a.m. until six p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at the Heritage Plaza (in front of the Sealaska building as well as the SHI Arts Campus). More than 30 people will have tables at which they’ll sell items which include paintings, jewelry and photography weaving, carvings and much more. The pop-up market will be coordinated the 8th Oweesta annually held Capital Access Convening, which will take place from June 27-29, Juneau.


  • Juneau Soccer Club’s recent Seattle success

    • Juneau Soccer Club recently had five teams compete at five teams in the Starfire Spring Classic in Tukwila, WA. It was the Juneau Soccer Club (JSC)’s 2010 Boys team took 1st spot at the U14 Silver division of the Starfire Spring Classic soccer tournament in Seattle this past week.


  • The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council’s 50th Anniversary celebration is coming up

    • The 50th anniversary celebration of JAHC and the Kathy Kolkhurst’s Ruddy Awards to the Arts are scheduled to take place on Juneau Arts & Culture Center. Juneau Arts & Culture Center on the 27th of July, Thursday.
