Scott Burton, a Juneau-based filmmaker, asks the question “What is your relationship with alcohol?” He says that it includes both fun and depression, inspiration, anxiety, confidence, addiction, in-the-gutter highs and lows. Burton says that he jumped into a bed with alcohol when he was 14 years old and has been fighting and loving alcohol for 40 years. Through “Ernest Drinker,” he explores the terms used in society to discuss alcoholism, sobriety and recovery. Today’s episode features Burton talking with Katie Bausler about the film and its history.
The Juneau Symphony will also be on today’s program to talk about their Holiday Cheer concerts next week. Juneau Audubon Society and representatives of the United Way are going to give us highlights of their fundraising campaign.
