Jacksonville, AL –The Jacksonville Police Department has made an announcement that an arrest was made in connection with the tragic death of Leah Tarvin, a Jacksonville State University victim of an unidentified vehicle in the course of the year.

Tarvin Was hit by a car on November. 2 as she crossed Alabama 21 just in front of Brewer Hall. The 22-year old died from his injuries in UAB Hospital in Birmingham two days later.
After her death after her death, following her death, the Jacksonville Police Department began a investigation into the homicide of a traffic driver with the assistance of troopers from Alabama’s state Law Enforcement Agency’s Jacksonville post. Olivia Lowrey, 19, from Gadsden was arrested on June 28 and was charged with criminally negligent homicide. Lowrey has been released from the Jacksonville City Jail and has scheduled a hearing date for August. 1 starting at 1 p.m.
