Weaver, AL –The city of Weaver has announced a new series of film night events. They’re employing the tagline “Catch the Weaver fever.” It is four events scheduled to be held in the city park, which is behind the city hall. Each event will feature various activities, however each will end with a family-friendly movie that starts at 8:00 after. Mayor Clendenning said He wanted to make use of Weaver’s park to highlight the fact that Weaver is a great place to offer families from Calhoun County.

The event’s first day on the 15th of July will feature inflatables, some catering trucks and extended hours at the splash pad and, of course, always, access to the disc golf course as well as playground and other amenities in the park. The end of the event will be the screening of a film in the park’s outdoor screens. The second date is set for the 29th of July and will kick off with a disc golf tournament. It will it will be described by the Mayor as an “free day” including hotdogs and snow cones, both of which are provided by the city and local groups. The third date has been set for the 12th of August and will be a day of music featuring food trucks and inflatables prior to the film. The fourth and final date will take place on August 26th. It is expected to be a complete food truck event with more than ten trucks expected to come in prior to the film. While the Mayor is thrilled about the upcoming summer events and events, he also said he would like to utilize the park for additional activities throughout the entire year.
