Anniston AL Anniston (Alabama) U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) has announced that the Anniston Army Depot has been designated as an official Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) for the Army’s Mobile Protected Firepower program and Booker Combat Vehicle. It is the Anniston Army Depot was chosen mostly due to its exceptional facilities, the ability to handle the increasing volume of work, as well as the designation of an Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence (CITE) for the majority of comparable ground-based combat vehicles.

“I am thrilled to announce that the Anniston Army Depot being designated in an all-new DSOR for this vehicle of combat,” said Rep. Rogers. “The Anniston Army Depot is an important part of East Alabama and a hub for the highest quality in maintenance of ground combat vehicles. I am delighted to witness the Army be recognized for this and am thrilled to witness the Depot succeed in this new role which will ensure its crucial function in Army sustainability for the foreseeable future.”

“The transfer to the Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) to Anniston Army Depot for the Mobile Protected Firepower System, that has been dubbed”the M10 Booker, is a important step towards maintaining the Depot’s Centre of Technical Excellence designation to all Combat Vehicles including the Bradley and ensures that Anniston in a position to repair and maintain all future and legacy light and heavy tanks. We collaborated closely together with congressman Rogers on this issue and made sure that the proper DSOR designation was assigned through the Army,” said the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council.
