Montgomery, AL – The voting has officially started in the 10th annual America’s Top-Looking Cruiser contest!

Every year every year, each year, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is a part of the highway patrols and state police departments across the country to compete to be the winner of the annual American Association of State Troopers’ (AAST) “Best-Looking Cruiser” Contest. The winners are selected by the popular vote, and then placed on the AAST calendar. The Association produces a calendar each year, with the profits going to educational scholarships to dependent members.

This year this year, it was the Agency “parked on the shores of paradise” in a display the 2023 Ford F-250 pickups within ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division. The truck is located in Alabama’s picturesque beaches that draw thousands of tourists from across the country every year. With the Agency’s iconic Huey helicopter hovering over the beach, the picture was snapped during the latest holiday, the Fourth of July holiday. Through the duration of the vacation, the Agency worked with officials from city officials from Orange Beach and Gulf Shores to run a rescue Swimmer Detail to conduct a second time in the same row. The detail was conducted by ALEA Aviation provided an aircraft and pilot who could quickly fly and transport emergency swimmers from the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Fire Departments to help swimmers in distress. Additionally, the aircraft used to carry out beach safety missions and patrolling areas where lifeguards weren’t immediately on hand.

Thanks to the people, ALEA ranked 7th in the nation, and also won a place on the 2023 calendar in addition to a few earlier calendars. The calendar of this year included ALEA’s 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, placed with the famous F- 16C Fighting Falcon “Red Tails” fighter aircraft that is based in Dannelly Field in Montgomery.
