In the last six weeks, for the past six weeks, the Andalusia Tennis Association along with City of Andalusia, held its 21st Andalusia Summer Tennis Camp.
It has served as a popular annual summer program for 21 years. It gives youngsters aged 5-18 to master the basics of tennis, and also to compete against one another.
The winners and runners-up in the respective categories are according to:
- 8 and Under Girls Head Coach Paul Smith, Champion Madelyn Wells, Second-Runner-Up Addilyn Bougafa and Assistant Monica King
- 8 and Under Boys The coach is Paul Smith, Champion Will Bergfeld, Second-Runner-Up Lawrence Sargent, Assistant Monica King
- 9 and 10-Year-Old Girls The coach is Paul Smith, Champion Greenie McKee, Second-Runner-Up Joy Marie Amis, Assistant Monica King
- 9 and 10 year-old Boys The coach is Paul Smith, Champion Micah Daniels, Second-Runner-Up Simon Shellhouse, Assistant Monica King
- Girls Beginning Coaching Paul Smith, Champion Ramsey Bergfeld and Second-Runner-Up Madison White, Assistant Monica King
- Boys Beginning Coaching Paul Smith, Champion Nicholas Shellhouse and 2nd Brennan Peek, Assistant Monica King
- Girls Intermediate/Advanced: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Claire Maurer, Runner-Up Addison Owen, Assistant Monica King
- Boys Intermediate/Advanced: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Isaac McMath, Runner-Up Aaron Shellhouse, Assistant Monica King
The camp concluded on the 20th of July in 2023. The camp was a success, and the participants had a great event.
