Anniston, AL –On the 26th of July, between 1:00 and 2 pm, Join Alabama Cooperative Extension Agent, Tammy Hall each Wednesday for Learn Growing, Eating, and go! Learn about, Grow, Eat and Go! (LGEG) can be described as the scientifically-based curriculum initiative for The Junior Master Gardener program that blends academic success and gardening with nutrient-rich meals, physical activities as well as family involvement. This set of hands-on taught lessons that have been tested will assist students in understanding the importance of plants and how they can provide to meet the needs of individuals. The curriculum features opportunities for the students to participate in fresh vegetable tastings/evaluations, simple recipe demos, and physical activities that research shows can improve on-task behavior and academic performance.

This program is intended for students in the 3rd to 5th grade. students. It is held within Anniston Museum of Natural History. Anniston Museum of Natural History. Pre-registration recommended.
