Oklahoma City, OK — Wilmes, O’Neal homer and Fiser pitches a second beauty during Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers win at the Oklahoma City Spark
Brooke Wilmes and Raina O’Neal scored home runs, while Amber Fiser made six runs in the opening two innings make an appearance in the Oxford Smash It Sports Vipers defeated their opponents the Oklahoma City Spark 6-2 on the road on Tuesday.
The Vipers increased their record to 7-18 going into Wednesday’s final contest of the three. They’ll be back home for an all-star series against The Texas Smoke on Friday.
Wilmes hit an RBI home run of three runs to lead the Vipers to a four-run first Tuesday inning, and O’Neal then followed with a solo home run.
Suzy Brookshire scored another run by executing sacrifice fly in the second half, in addition, Jenna Kean scored on a double steal.
Karly Heath hit 2-for-4 and a stolen base. Mikayla Allee hit 2-for-3, scoring a hit.
Fiser permitted three walks, three hits, and an earned run. She beat three batters over 5 1/3 innings to earn her fourth victory in the league. Gianna Mancha was able to allow just one strike and one earned over 1 2/3 of an inning of relief.
