    • Kaasei Indigenous Foodways offers experiences that strengthen relationships between people, plants, and the place. Their approach connects hearts through sharing knowledge of Indigenous food and plants via gatherings harvesting, presentations, and gatherings. Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge of the beautiful Alaskan landscape and gain a greater appreciation for the rich history and heritage of the Indigenous inhabitants of Alaska and acquire knowledge about harvesting traditional wild plants and foods in a respectful and ethical manner.

  • Alaska Independent Musicians Initiative with Marian Call

    • AKIMI The AKIMI, also known as an initiative of the Alaska Independent Musicians’ Initiative has assisted in the preparation of an assessment of the Juneau entertainment scene our musicians and festivals students and teachers as well as our venues and a comparison with the musical ecosystems in two of the capital cities: Torshavn located in the Faroe Islands and Nuuk in Greenland.

  • “Need the Blind Ambition” The author is Kevin Myers

    • Kevin T. Myers new novel is released on July 30th.
    • The desire to make a difference–and also to save his marriage, is what drove Peter Cook to leave his beloved Alaska for the world-class Parker College. Attracted by the opportunity to collaborate with his former political hero who was also his childhood idol and university president Peter brings his family with him to Portland, Oregon, to aid in the promotion of the fundraising campaign of his idol which would remove the status of financial aid from the college’s admissions procedure. While sifting through the depths his soul to find the motivation to act in the right way Peter’s traumatic childhood experience comes back to haunt him, and could impair his judgment in a moment when it’s at its highest. Peter has to stabilize his mental health, while trying to determine the different interpretations about “the truth” as the law enforcement authorities investigate the criminal plot.
