Jacksonville (AL) – According to the Jacksonville Police Department Facebook page, multiple reports were received that vehicles had been forcibly taken into. Officers arrived on the scene to investigate the reports and to process each vehicle as evidence. Officers began to search the area after taking the initial reports. They were able locate some property that had been reported as missing from a nearby woodline. Officers also discovered that many of the businesses in this area had security cameras outside. The officers discovered that multiple vehicles were being broken into by the suspects after they had been viewed by the security cameras. Officers were able to identify the suspects by reviewing the camera footage and started to search for them. Bowers, Kerry D 27, of Anniston was arrested as a result of the investigation. Bowers was charged with Unlawful Entry & Breaking Vehicle (x9), Receiving Stolen Property (2nd degree)(2), Possession Of Burglar’s Tool, Possession Marijuana 2nd, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Bowers’ bond for all charges is $192,000. Court Date January 9, 2023 at 1:30 P.M.

They were also able develop a person-of-interest during this investigation. JPD believes that Bowers was accompanied by Anthony J 20, Anniston, AL, Delaney. Multiple guns were taken during those cases and they have not been found. We believe that Delaney may still be possessing them. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for Delaney on a Felony warrant to Receive Stolen Property 1.
