After record-breaking flooding on the Mendenhall River on Aug. 5th, homeowners whose homes and property were affected are trying to figure out what’s to come next.


About 20 families were displaced and several homes were destroyed by the glacial eruption flood.

City officials declared a local emergency on Aug. 8 to create ways to fund disaster relief.
