Friday, the Oxford Yellow Jackets are kicking off the weekend with a Fan Day that includes scrimmage games of all ages as well as food trucks at the event! 5:15-7:30 in the evening in Lamar Field!

Smith’s Martial Arts is hosting an event called Focus for Better Grades event located in Oxford! 6:30 pm

Saturday

There are two amazing events happening on a Saturday morning in the Anniston First United Methodist Church! The first is the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser from 7:00-10:00 am. They’ll also be hosting the Back to School Sidewalk Art Festival from 9-11am right in the front at the front of church!

Another amazing Saturday morning activity to add to your calendar includes an event called the Pancake Breakfast and Vendor Festat Weaver Park benefiting the area’s Foster Families! The pancake breakfast event will run from 7-10 am, with vendors set up at 9am and remaining until 3pm and for those who are looking for lunch food truck vendors will be there between 11am and 3pm!

Hooligan H-D is hosting their inaugural Ice Cream Social. Join us on the 12th of August to take part in this year’s most heavenly event!

Lowes will be holding their regular Kids DIY workshop on Saturday! Unload the tailgate and open the fun to enjoy the Kids Workshop. Your child-diyer will create their own Pickup Truck toy using real tools. There is no grease, but plenty of wonderful memories. It starts at 10:10am!

The time has come for the Creature Feature Weekend at the Anniston Museum! Plan to attend the exhibition halls on the second Saturday of every month between 1:00 and 2:00 pm to learn more about our animals’ ambassadors. It is impossible to predict who will be the next to be featured!

For our teenagers who love D&D, it’s the time to attend the Anniston Library’s monthly D&D meeting with games fun and pizza! It’s open to all age groups and levels of skill! 1.30pm, at the Main Branch

It’s the perfect time to catch Weaver Fever! Weaver has stepped up their activities to a whole new level and you won’t want to skip this one! These events are free and family-friendly. The event is a Music Day! They’ve set up four fantastic artists! Food trucks will be available and inflatables, as well as extended hours at the splash pad and we’ll show Minions: The Rise of Gru at 8 pm. Like always, the disc golf as well as the playground are available so be sure to arrive early and be prepared to stay up late! Bring your lawn chair or a towel to sit back and enjoy the movie! It is possible to bring drinks and food (non alcohol-based) along.

CornerStone Fellowship Church located in Weaver will be hosting an closing Summer youth Rally Saturday, June 6, 6pm-8:30 pm and is inviting all local youth to join them for an evening filled with games, worship and giveaways!


Sunday

Michaels provides free craft activities for children every Sunday between 2 and 4. p.m. All the materials are provided, so you don’t have to purchase expensive kits that are only used once or a large amount of random items. This week, the kids will be creating animals pencils! Great for back to school!
