Oxford, AL – Oxford Smash It Sports Vipers top performers Smith, Brookshire make all-league team. Smoke’s Jefferson player of the year, Pease pitcher of year.

Smash It Sports Vipers third baseman/catcher Makena Smith as well as Utility players Suzy Brookshire were selected at-large for the All-Womens Professional Fastpitch team, announced on Tuesday during the league’s banquet at Talladega Superspeedway.

The Texas Smoke’s Janae Jefferson is player of the year. Teammate Autumn Pease is pitcher of the year. Other top award winners include the following offensive star of the season Morgan Howe (Texas Smoke) as well as defensive player of Year Sydney Sherrill (Oklahoma City Spark) and most promising rookie with the highest number of stole bases Kayla Kowalick (USSSA Pride) and the coach top of their class (Texas Smoke).

Smith is ranked eighth in the WPF with an .378 on-base percent, 8th with six doubles, and sixth by having two triples. Brookshire has the fourth position with 7 doubles, and fifth in walks with 17.

The WPF playoffs take place taking place at Choccolocco Park.
