Carl Franklin Nelson

Carl Franklin Nelson, age 82, from Sylacauga, Alabama, passed passing away on Monday, August 14, 2023.

Carl was survived by his spouse Frances Nelson; his son, Frankie Nelson (Tonya) His daughters Stacy Blair (Ronnie), Jennifer Walker (Clay), Lindsey Cross (Ryan) and Jessica Lauderdale-Bolt (Andrew) as well as the brother of Jerry Nelson (Sherry) as well as his grandchildren Libby Cross, Paxton Lauderdale-McDaniel, Aubrey Cross, Ryals Walker, Ashton David (Clint), Tayler Mabry, Nelson Blair (Jessica) as well as Lauren Tidwell (Travis) and his three great-grandchildren.

Carl was predeceased by his dad Burie Nelson and her mother Julia Nelson, and his sister Bobbie Jo Anderson.

A memorial service for Carl will take place on Tuesday, August 22nd between 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at Curtis and Son Funeral Home located in Sylacauga. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at noon. A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, around 2 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery where Carl will be laid to rest.

Pallbearers for the occasion as pallbearers Clay Walker, Andrew Bolt, Mike Mancill, Ray Gavin, Rob Zachary, and Josh Baxley. As honorary pallbearers, they are Serra Dealership Transporters.

A special thank you special thanks to Dr. Vachhani and Dr. Nix for their loving care, as also Carl’s caregiver as well as his the best friend, Greg Adamson and close friend Russell Morrow.
