Ernie Durwin Armstrong of McKenzie passed away on the 17th of August 2023 at his home. He was 69.
Funeral services were held on Sunday 20 August, 2 p.m. at Bushfield Cemetery. Rev. Tyree Bowen was officiating. Special guitar music was played from John Bennett. Keahey Funeral Home directed.
The last to be remembered is his beloved spouse of over 48 years Brenda Armstrong; sons, Shelby Ladon Gorum of Dothan and William Clayton Gorum of McKenzie and a sister, June Odom (Tommy) of McKenzie and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Benji Armstrong, along with two other brothers Marlin Armstrong as well as Wayne Armstrong.
Durwin was the owner of Armstrong Garage and served the community as a highly skilled mechanic for a long time. He was a member of Garden Baptist Church.
