The plane that was believed to carry two passengers between Glennallen to Ketchikan is gone since the weekend, as per an investigation by the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

The plane is one of the Beechcraft Bonanza, left Glennallen at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday. The last time it was heard, it was approximately 18 miles to the inland of Cape Yakataga, northwest of Yakutat.


The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center is responsible for the searches that have been affected due to bad weather.


Alaska State Troopers have notified the families of the occupants that the plane was delayed.
