Jacksonville, AL – Per the JSU press office, for the third year in a row, Jacksonville State University has beat its record for all-time enrollment. The numbers for the census of fall were published on Friday, and showed the total head count 9672 pupils.


“We are delighted to watch the JSU family continue to expand,” said President Don C. Killingsworth, Jr. “Going forward we’ll put more emphasis on attracting dual enrollment and post-traditional students, while also maintaining our traditional retention and recruitment initiatives.”

JSU is also seeing an increase in the number of continuing or dual enrolling students. JSU posted the highest number of students this autumn, with 1,122 high school students getting an early into their college education through classes in person and online at JSU. Since 2020 the number of students who are dual-enrolled has risen in 34 %.

The University launched their third Doctoral Program this spring 2023. It is it is the Doctor of Education in educational leadership. This is in addition to all four brand-new undergraduate degrees that were established in the last year. These include Criminality and Justice in a Diverse Society, Cybersecurity, Equity and Diversity, as well as Healthcare Systems and Society. The __ is a representation of the __.

Applications for admissions are open for the Spring 2024 semester and the fall 2024. Students interested in studying at the undergraduate level are invited to get an inside look at the campus during Preview Day on Sept. 23 and October. 10.
