Lineville, AL – Munford’s Frank Watson, and Alexandria’s Watson the top field at the Central-Clay Volunteer Spirit Championship. Lincoln wins the boys team title and Jacksonville girls are leading the way.
Munford’s Dakota Frank and Alexandria’s JoJo Watson were the most outstanding individuals, while Jacksonville’s girls and Lincoln’s boys took home team championships on Saturday’s Central-Clay Volunteer Spirit Classic.
Frank Frank, one of the reigning Alabama Class 4A champion, was able to repeat his win from the last week’s Waffle House Yellow Jacket Invitational in Oxford by winning in fifteen minutes 56.8 seconds at Central-Clay. Frank defeated horseshoe bend’s Loughton Spates 1:14.3.
Watson completed the race in 21:40.6 Watson beat the Jacksonville’s Emma Easterling by 10.3 seconds.
Third-place finalist Aaron Davis (17:20.0), Lincoln’s boys were among the top 10 finishers in the race.
Jacksonville’s girls who are current Calhoun County champions, edged Alexandria by 18 points. Alongside Easterling among the top 10 was Gracie Easterling (7th, 23:45.7) and Sarah Sloughfy (8th, 23:54.6).
