Businesses can renew their licenses on the internet.

Business owners are able to renew their stateor county business licenses on the internet. State/County business licenses are valid for the fiscal year that starts on October. 1 and extending to Sept. 30 in the year following. It is recommended to renew your license between the months of Oct. 1 between Oct. 1 and October. 31 every year.

Business owners can renew their business license online by visiting covingtonprobateoffice.com and clicking on “renew business license.” You will be prompted to enter your current business license number.

First-time buyers of business licenses need to go to the probate office in order to apply for a business licence.

Other services online offered by the probate department include tag renewals, driver’s licence renewals, and registration for vehicles purchased through one of the Alabama dealer.
