This Third Thursday’s gathering will feature Master Gardener Elizabeth York, a seasoned professional with over thirty years experience within all aspects of gardening. With a vast experience in the care of perennials, annuals, as well as vegetables, Elizabeth’s journey in gardening helped her earn her Master Gardener certification in 2016. Her dedication to gardening isn’t limited to personal interest; Elizabeth was a key participant within her role in the Harvest for Health Study, which was a joint effort between UAB together with Auburn University. In the role of a researcher, she coached cancer patients about the advantages of eating healthy by cultivating the vegetables they grow themselves.
