Republican Jerry Carl has announced that he will run for reelection, to continue representing the state of Alabama’s First Congressional District of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Jerry Carl
Carl will run in Alabama’s newly created First District which includes Covington County during the 2024 election.
“Today I’m pleased to announce that I’m filing for reelection and continue to represent the Alabamans of Alabama’s First Congressional District in Congress,” Carl said.
“At an era that our borders are becoming overrun and criminality is rising in many cities across America as well Joe Biden continues leading our nation down a wrong track This country requires more conservatives who are steadfast like me, who can achieve results and not back down from the battle.
“I’m happy with the work that my colleagues and me have done so far for AL-01. It doesn’t matter what we do to secure our border, cut down on the wasteful spending of the government, or stop overreaching by the Biden administration, or stand unafraid of any attempts to strip us of one of our Constitutional rights, there’s plenty of work to do in Washington as the stakes for us are too high to take our foot off the gas and quit our fight for the preservation of our nation.
“Serving the Alabama’s First Congressional District in Washington is an privilege of a lifetime and I’m excited to welcome new counties across the Wiregrass within our district. I’ve been on field in each county within the district and have been overwhelmed by the backing from people in every neighborhood.
A Republican primary will take place on the 5th of March in 2024.
Carl has been supported by nearly 30 state legislators and AL-01 local leaders He also has raised $257,474 for his reelection bid in the 3rd quarter in 2023.
