All six counties football teams play to play their final game in October. One team ends regular season play in a massive regional matchup, while two teams compete in an annual county rivalry.
Andalusia is located at Montgomery Catholic
The top-ranked Andalusia (9-0, 6-1 4A 2 Region) will head to the capital city of Madrid for a heavyweight clash against the third-ranked Montgomery Catholic (9-0, 6-0) in a clash of two unbeaten teams.
The winner will take home the region and be awarded an upper seed for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the losers will be placed in second. This will be the fifth time that these two teams have met since the 2014 season, with the Bulldogs with a 3-1 advantage in the game over Knights.
Andalusia played host to B.T. Washington and erased a six-point deficit to secure an impressive victory of 27-6 last week. Montgomery Catholic earned its sixth consecutive shutout, and the seventh of the year with an impressive 63-0 win over Dale County.
Two teams featured in the season of 2022. The Knights won a road 45-23 victory in the final match of their regular-season schedule, but the Bulldogs got back on track by winning 29-26 at Cramton Bowl, in the semifinals.
Florala at Kinston
Florala (6-2 4-2 Region 2, 1A) will travel to Kinston (2-6 1-5) in a vital regional battle to determine the playoff seeding.
Both teams played each year since 1988, and will are set to meet for their 36th all-time encounter. They are the Wildcats have a advantage of 19-16 in the game in the series against Bulldogs.
Florala was unable to win an at-home game against Elba this week losing 56-28. Kinston was defeated on the road to McKenzie 45-19.
The Wildcats beat the Bulldogs at home last season with a score of 56-30.
Opp at Straughn
Opp (3-5 3-3 3A Regional 2) will travel to Straughn (7-1 7-1, Straughn (7-1,) on the very first occasion in the last three years when Straughn and Opp collide in a regional battle.
The match this year will mark the 20th time that the two teams meet in the modern age. The Tigers are leading the series 11-8 against the Bobcats in their previous games dating back to 2002 season.

Pleasant Home (1-7, 0-6 1A Region 2) will be facing a difficult challenge on the road against unbeaten Elba (8-0, 6-6)) on Wednesday.
The two teams play each in playing field, for the third time in the year 2018. The Tigers are 3-0 ahead over the Eagles.
Pleasant Home enters the region game after losing to Brantley this week in the home game 37-7. Elba was playing its last road match during the regular season, and also doubled Florala 56-28.

Red Level at Brantley
Red Level (2-6, 2-5 1A Region 2) is looking to get into wins for the second time during the year with a quick journey to Brantley (4-4 4-2).
This year’s match is the 59th time between two teams since the first time they played in the year 1950. The Bulldogs hold the lead in the series 44-14 and have won 19 straight matches against the Tigers since the start of 1991.
Red Level took on Georgiana and lost 37-7 in its final home game this week. Brantley played Pleasant Home on the road and won 37-7.
