In the current episode of Culture Rich Conversations from Juneau’s Black Awareness Association, the banned books written by Black authors continues. Host Christina Michelle and her panel of guests talk about the second novel in the sequence, “The Bluest Eye,” written by Toni Morrison.

Christina Michelle and her guests engage in a deep and insightful discussion on the major issues that surround race, class and gender, in addition to what it is being beautiful. The show today also offers a frank in the dark facts in the novel, and also explores its relevance to the culture that remains today.
