It is the Jacksonville State University (JSU) community is ready to host two amazing events that unite the entire community and pay homage to our nation’s heroes.

On November 9 on November 9, the JSU Chamber Winds and Symphonic Band will take the stage to perform “American voices.” The show will be a rousing mix of patriotic songs and will surely win the hearts of those who go to. The show will begin at 7:15 p.m. inside the prestigious Leone Cole Auditorium, promising the audience a memorable night. The spirit of patriotic celebration continues the next day the 10th of November, which falls on a Friday in Jacksonville, as JSU teams up with Jacksonville University and the City of Jacksonville to host the annual Veterans Day Celebration. The event will start with a 10 o’clock start a.m. inside TMB Auditorium. TMB Auditorium. The main event of the day is the performance by JSU Brass Quintet. JSU Brass Quintet, who will perform patriotic songs that captures the essence of the celebration.

Alongside the musical tributes to the fallen, this year’s Veterans Day Celebration will also include two special guests that will impart their personal perspectives and stories with the audience. One of them will be Colonel. Eric Sloughfy, a retired U.S. Army logistics officer who is currently an instructor of military science in JSU ROTC. JSU Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). The other guest speaker will be Cadet Arisa Devine, a dedicated JSU ROTC student who represents the bright future of the nation’s army.
